Omar Malik is a sustainability data expert. He works with corporate teams to conduct ESG intelligence operations and integrate data into platforms to showcase leadership and comply with the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape for climate change.

As Vertelligence, Omar brings a powerful pairing of technology and subject-matter expertise to enterprises. He has done carbon accounting within the Fortune 500 and spent years working with impactful data through emerging platforms.

He trained at Yale's Environment School which helped establish the conservation movement at the dawn of the 20th century. While there he worked on behalf of the Yale Law’s Environment Clinic advocating for small-island countries at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change negotiations leading up to the Paris Agreement. He also influenced designs for new metrics in the UN Sustainable Development Goals and has published on US and global sustainability data to advance the management of impactful metrics.

He further has a decade in the technology sector where he supported the launch of startups and developed software for data-heavy applications in the regulated medical genetics space, specializing in full-stack programming, database management, and scripting tools to automate measuring risks, impacts, and reporting on sensitive patient data with high standards of integrity and ethics.
